Michael Loudiana, PhD

Physicist, Writer, Analyst

I am a physicist with an accomplished 35-year career providing technical leadership to US missile defense systems. I have been awarded three patents, published dozens of peer-reviewed articles, and earned the title of Boeing Technical Fellow. Since my retirement, I have pursued my passion for science and evangelism.

Spokane, WA is where I was born. I studied Physics at Washington State University and started working for Boeing in Seattle shortly after receiving my PhD. Boeing provided me with many opportunities, including technical leadership positions in one-of-a-kind high-tech programs such as the Airborne Surveillance Testbed and the Airborne Laser Testbed. In 2012 Boeing sent me to join the Missile Defense National Team in Huntsville, AL.

I met Phyllis shortly after moving to Huntsville, and we got married in 2013. We are active members at the Church of the Highlands and have led several small groups. I have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

I retired from Boeing and Phyllis retired from her nursing career in 2020. We enjoy traveling, exploring local natural wonders, and leading church small groups.

Understanding God's Universe

Journey Through Space, Time, and the Bible

Studies have shown that 60% - 90% of Christian college students leave the church while attending secular schools. These students are thrust into an environment where the authority of scientists, teachers, and textbooks speaks louder than the authority of God’s word. They are not prepared with answers to questions they encounter and have not been exposed to scientific evidence that confirms the Biblical account of history.

Many people don’t realize that everything scientists observe and measure is perfectly consistent with God’s word. It’s God’s creation, after all. This book exposes the assumptions scientists make when developing theories about the past, such as the Big Bang theory. It also addresses questions regarding scientific worldviews, why we can trust the Bible, and the incredible physical laws that govern our universe.
